Although this book was well-written, I found it to be extremely similar to the movie (I did not read the book) Beaches - even up to the way the book ends. I felt as if the book was very familiar throughout, although I did appreciate the relationship between the mother and her teenage daughter, as I do have a pre-teen currently. If you have not read or seen Beaches then this is a pretty good read, but keep a box a Kleenex nearby.Get more detail about Firefly Lane.
