I'm not a church going person and often question most organized religons, for reasons of corruption, scandal, abuse, etc. However, I do beleive in God and Jesus. When I first started reading this book I thought, "great....a bible touting religous freak writes a story", but I quickly changed my tune, as the story moved and inspired me. It made me feel good to read it and gave me (more) hope (and dare I say a different perspective/better understanding) of God. Some of the parts are a tadbit cheesy, but overall I loved this book and would recomend it to anyone (even cynics like myself). I would have given it 5 stars but the writing could be a little better, and the few areas of cheesinss could have been eliminated.Get more detail about The Shack.
