I was interested in the book within the first 10 - 15 pages, and couldn't put it down so I read it easily within 3 days. I'm also a very fast reader. My copy had book club questions in the back that I think will make for a very interesting meeting of my all female book. There are so many different things going on this book parental relationships with each other and their children, womens place in society, the challenges in being a minority in America, the list goes on.
